Spires Flag Football Dominates Bethel in Home Victory

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary Spires flag football team delivered a commanding performance at home, defeating the Bethel College Threshers 41-7. The Spires showcased their offensive firepower and defensive strength, securing a decisive victory in front of their home crowd.

The Spires started strong, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter, with successful one-point conversion rushes by Trinity Scott and London Reed. The offensive onslaught continued in the second quarter, as the Spires added two more touchdowns and two more one-point conversions by London Reed, extending their lead to 28-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Spires added another touchdown and one-point conversion by London Reed, pushing their lead to 35-0. They added a final touchdown in the fourth quarter, with a failed two-point conversion pass, bringing their total to 41 points. Bethel College managed to score a touchdown in the fourth quarter with a successful one-point conversion rush by Kyndall Longman, but it was too little, too late.

The Spires' offense was led by strong performances from Brooklin Hill, who rushed for 28 yards, and Bralei Criss, who contributed both rushing and passing yards. The receiving corps was equally impressive, with multiple players contributing to the scoring effort. Defensively, the Spires were dominant, limiting Bethel's offense and securing key interceptions.
