Bio

Jamison Carmichael enters his 8th year with the University of Saint Mary. The 2024-2025 season marked one of the most successful years in Saint Mary basketball history. The team posted a 22-10 overall record and a 16-6 record in the conference while also winning the KCAC Conference Tournament Title and obtaining a bid to the NAIA National Tournament.

Before Saint Mary, Jamison spent time at Hawaii Pacific University (DII), Baker University (NAIA) and Southern Methodist University (DI).

Jamison graduated from The University of Kansas and obtained his Masters Degree from Baker University.

Throughout his career he has coached 17 All-Conference players and 18 Academic All-Conference players.

Jamison was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, where he attended Manhattan High School. Jamison is the son of Janelle and Dan Russell. Jamison has three siblings, an older brother, Jackie, who plays professional basketball in Russia, an older sister, Catherine, who works Real Estate in Kansas City and a younger brother, Christian, who plays college basketball at Minnesota State Moorhead. He is married to Brittany Carmichael, who is a nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
