
Brecheisen Hired as New Competitive Dance Head Coach
Leavenworth, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary athletic Department announced their most recent hire for the Competitive Dance team on Thursday.
"I am thrilled to announce the hiring of Kinleigh Brecheisen as our new head coach of the Competitive Dance team," Vice President of Athletics Rob Miller said. "It will be exciting to see Kinleigh recruit student-athletes that will take our program to the next level and make Saint Mary the place to be in the KCAC for competitive dance."
Brecheisen grew up in Salina, Kansas, and found her passion for dance at a young age and has been competing her whole life. In high school, she began coaching at the Prestige School of Dance in Salina.
Coach Brecheisen graduated from Baker University with a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology and was on the Competitive Dance team for all four years. In her time there, she was a part of two conference and regional championship teams in the 2019-20 and 2021-22 seasons. She was honored as an All-American in the 2019-20 season as well. Brecheisen continued coaching throughout her time at Baker and is currently working for Revolution School of Dance in Salina as a coach.
Brecheisen had this to say when asked about being hired, "I am excited to develop the dance program here and to make it a well known program on campus that is competitive in the KCAC and nationally, all while upholding the values of the University of Saint Mary."
