Spires selected in Top-5 in KCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

Leavenworth, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary Women’s Soccer program have been picked 5th in the KCAC Preseason Women’s Soccer Coaches Poll.

The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles topped the poll receiving 13 first place votes followed by Friends University, Ottawa University, and Kansas Wesleyan.

The Spires are led by 13th year Head Coach Justin Seever and will be returning 5 starters. Highlighting the returners is first-team All-Conference KCAC honors Marisol Vargas and second-team All-Conference KCAC honors Kaylee Shaw. Another name to keep an eye out for will be Nanako Hallier, who scored the second-most goals and points on the team last year.

The USM Women’s Soccer team begins their season August 24th against Doane University at Charles J. Berkel Stadium with kickoff slated for 1pm.
