Bio

Jacob Mishkin was announced as the Men's and Women's Tennis Head Coach in January 2024.

A former Division I collegiate athlete himself, the coach played tennis at St. Bonaventure University, where he developed his skills and passion for the sport at a highly competitive level. Mishkin’s career in collegiate athletics includes leading Ottawa University’s women’s tennis team to its first-ever KCAC Regular Season Championship in 2021 and guiding the men’s team to a program-best runner-up finish that same year. His efforts earned him the 2021 KCAC Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year award.

In addition to team success, he has demonstrated a keen ability to develop individual talent, coaching several nationally ranked student-athletes. His leadership resulted in an NAIA All-American selection and players competing in prestigious tournaments like ITA Nationals and the ITA Cup. Off the court, he has emphasized academic excellence, with his teams achieving NAIA Scholar Team recognition and maintaining high GPAs.

The coach also brings valuable NCAA experience from his time at Fairleigh Dickinson University and the University of Kansas. At Kansas, he contributed to the program’s first NCAA tournament appearance in over 15 years, while at Fairleigh Dickinson, he helped recruit top-ranked athletes and guided teams to achieve outstanding academic records, including team GPAs exceeding 3.7.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University, an educational background that complements his leadership abilities and his dedication to developing student-athletes on and off the court.
