Comp. Cheer Takes Ninth at Programs First NAIA National Meet
Ypsilanti, Mich.- The University of Saint Mary Competitive Cheer team traveled to compete in the program's first-ever NAIA National Championship meet. The Spires finished in ninth place out of the fifteen schools that were invited.
After a grueling day one of the event, Saint Mary was slated for the ninth performance on day two. There, the Spires finished with an overall score of 87.78, for whole points from cracking the top five. They are also the first team from the KCAC to finish in the top ten at the meet.
Saint Mary concludes their season with the best finish in program history and will look to repeat and improve on their successes next season.
