Bio

Andrea Hinson is a native of Greeley, Kansas. She cheered at Pittsburg State University where she also earned her bachelor’s and master’s in communication. She is passionate about cheerleading and dance, coaching and the University of Saint Mary.

Hinson started the spirit squad program almost 10 years ago where she built the cheerleading and dance teams from the ground up. Her focus for now is to improve gameday which will give USM a home field advantage and to increase the visibility of the spirit squad program.

Hinson believes that the University of Saint Mary deserves a spirit squad program that promotes rich traditions. Over the years, our teams are going to create and maintain USM traditions that will allow us to be recognized as one the best in the nation. Get ready to be inspired! Go Spires!
