Spires Dominate Friends University to Secure KCAC Finals Berth

WICHITA, KAN. - The University of Saint Mary men's basketball team put on a commanding performance in Wichita, Kansas, as they defeated Friends University 69-52 in the KCAC Men's Basketball Semifinals. From the opening tip, the Spires showcased their dominance, jumping out to an early 9-0 lead and never looking back.

Saint Mary's defensive pressure was the story of the night, stifling the Falcons' offense and limiting them to just 36.7% shooting from the field and a dismal 9.1% from beyond the arc. The Spires, in contrast, maintained their offensive rhythm, shooting 46.6% from the field and knocking down six three-pointers in the process.

The Spires entered halftime with a comfortable 37-26 lead, thanks to efficient ball movement and defensive tenacity. They continued to apply pressure in the second half, holding Friends to just 26 points while maintaining their own offensive pace to seal the victory.
