
Men's Cross Country Claims 12th Straight KCAC Championship
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The University of Saint Mary men's cross country team continued its dominance by capturing their 12th consecutive KCAC Championship. The Spires clinched the title with an impressive team performance, placing seven runners in the top ten in the 8,000-meter finals. This victory secures their place at the NAIA Nationals on Friday, November 22, in Columbia, MO.
Leading the charge was Dominick Beine, who took the individual title with a time of 25:01.73, outpacing all competitors to claim first place. Hot on his heels, Aleksandr Krikov delivered a stellar performance, finishing third at 25:09.84. Tommy Baker (25:31.45) followed closely in fifth place, with Ryan Heline (25:35.17) and Chris Metz (25:37.66) rounding out the top finishes in sixth and seventh, respectively. Kenneth Howell secured eighth place with a time of 25:39.81, and Liam Neidig closed out the top ten in 25:41.26.
The Spires showcased remarkable depth, with additional solid showings by Daniel Correa (25:56.26) and Daniel Pantoja (25:57.54), further underscoring the team's exceptional collective strength.
With another KCAC title in hand, the University of Saint Mary men's cross country team now sets its sights on the NAIA Nationals, where they will look to continue their historic season.
