
Women's Soccer Blanks Manhattan Christian College
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary women's soccer team shut out Manhattan Christian College 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon, scoring four goals in each period.
Saint Mary is 4-12 overall and sits a half game behind Southwestern College for the No. 8 seed in the upcoming KCAC Tournament.
GAME FLOW
Justine Brown-DaCosta opened the scoring just 1:30 into the match, off an assist from Natasha Webster. The Spires continued to pressure the goalkeeper for the remainder of the half. Three more goals in the opening half came from Webster, Meghan Fletcher and Kendall Lillie - leading to a 4-0 advantage at halftime. The second half continued more of the same scenario as the Spires added four more goals by Allison Herbig, Megan McMillan, Emilie Korenek and Sara Ruiz-Payan for an 8-0 final.
