LEAVENWORTH, KAN. - The University of Saint Mary volleyball team continued their impressive conference run with a 3-0 sweep over Bethany College on Saturday. The Spires defended their home court with set wins of 25-18, 27-25, and 25-22, solidifying their fifth conference victory.
Saint Mary's offensive effort was led by Madison Folsom, who delivered 14 kills with a .237 hitting percentage. Ainsley Gardner added 9 kills, while Renata Dominguez contributed 7 kills with an efficient .429 hitting percentage. The Spires posted an overall kill percentage of .196 for the match.
On the defensive side, Macey Adams and Gabby Kurle led the team with 11 and 13 digs, respectively. Saint Mary's defense held Bethany to just a .065 kill percentage across the three sets, ensuring the Spires stayed in control throughout the match. With this win, the Spires improved to 15-8 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
