Spires Women’s Wrestling Claims KCAC Runner-Up, Sends Four to Nationals

KANSAS CITY, MO. - The University of Saint Mary women's wrestling team delivered a dominant performance at the KCAC Women's Wrestling Tournament, securing a second-place team finish with all 10 wrestlers earning a spot on the podium.

Leading the way were Eyvori Jacquez and Lexi Jacquez, both claiming KCAC titles and punching their tickets to the NAIA National Tournament. Araya Boday and Amelia Frounfelter also secured national wild card spots, giving the Spires four wrestlers heading to nationals.

Additional strong performances came from Rachel Dismuke (3rd), Allison King (3rd), Talyn Naylor (6th), Rebekah Koolstra (6th), Hannah Henderson (4th), and Lessly Sandoval (5th), proving the depth and talent of Saint Mary's squad.

Frounfelter also earned the KCAC Champion of Character award, a testament to her leadership and sportsmanship both on and off the mat.

With momentum on their side, the Spires now turn their attention to the NAIA National Tournament in Wichita, Kansas, in two weeks, where they aim to make an impact on the national stage.
