Student Health Insurance Plan
Student Health Insurance Plan available through United Healthcare:
All international (ITL), undergraduate nursing (NUR), graduate nursing (NSP), undergraduate athletes (ATH), graduate athlete (GRA), undergraduate resident (RES), graduate resident (SPE), Doctorate of Physical therapy/ DPT (PHT), Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTH) and ABSN Nursing (COL) students are required to have primary Medical insurance. You must have a minimum of 6 credit hours for graduates and a minimum of 9 credit hours if you are an undergraduate student to enroll in coverage. This requirement can vary per department so please contact your department if you have questions regarding your eligibility. Your specific departments will collect proof of coverage.
For incoming DPT/OT/Graduates there is a plan option for 6/1/24 to 7/31/24 for $492.25, then they will need to enroll for the next annual cycle starting August 1st.
The open enrollment (when the link appears on the United Healthcare page) for the summer plan will be available from 5/1/24 - 6/10/24.
For incoming ABSN/undergraduates there is a plan option for 7/1/24 to 7/31/24 for $177.75, then they will need to enroll for the next annual cycle starting August 1st.
The open enrollment (when the link will appear on the United Healthcare page) for the summer plan will be available from 6/11/24 - 7/8/24.

As long as you are enrolled in the appropriate hours and majors, you should receive your card within 24-48 hours via secure email from United Healthcare. The amount will be added to your student account and you can make payment plans with the business office.
