Spires Take First Place at Cougar Classic

Leavenworth, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Cheer team competed in the Cougar Classic on Friday, resulting in a first-place finish.

Saint Mary had an outstanding performance, scoring 93.88 and taking first place in the competition. The second-place team scored 81.00, giving the Spires the first-place finish by 12.88 points.

Their score is the highest in program history, and they tied for their highest competition finish.

Saint Mary will compete in the Bethel Invite starting Friday, February 16, in Newton, Kansas.
