Spires Nearly Miss Sunday Tournament At Eagle Invite

Belton, Mo.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Bowling team competed in the Eagle Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, resulting in a ninth-place finish.

At the end of the 16 baker games, Saint Mart sat in eighth place with a total of 2736. This gave the Spires a shot to compete later on Sunday in the elimination tournament, as long as they moved up or held onto eighth place throughout the team games. However, Saint Mary could not keep up the solid performance from Saturday. Zaylen Dear averaged 195.6 throughout the team games, and Jose Limon had the highest single-game score on the weekend for the Spires with 224. Saint Mary eventually fell to ninth place, ending their weekend.
