Men's Lacrosse Drops to Webber International in Thursday Match-Up

Leavenworth, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Lacrosse team played against the Webber International Warriors today, losing by a score of 26-2. The Spire's overall record is now 0-9 and 0-2 in the KCAC.

The top ranked Warriors wasted no time getting on the board to begin the game. As they quickly jumped out to a 2-0 lead, the Spires had a chance to score with a successful clear attempt but could not score. After the first quarter ended with the Warriors leading 7-0, the Spires struggled to get anything going in the second quarter. A couple of missed scoring opportunities for Saint Mary turned into goals for the Warriors as they went into halftime leading USM, 19-0.

After the break, the Warriors continued with their offensive attack, scoring right off the bat. The attack did not stop there unfortunately as they managed to score six more times to take a 26-0 lead, heading into the fourth. The Spires refused to give up though as Aiden Brace and Carter Hale put USM on the board with their goals late in the game. The Warriors then were able to close the game out, winning 26-2.
