Four Spires Have Top-Ten Finishes on Day One of KU Relays
Lawrence, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Outdoor Track and Field team competed on Thursday, day one of the Kansas Relays, with a majority of the distance events being completed.
In the 800m event, Luis Perez had the best finish for Saint Mary, running a 1:59.79. Two Spires had top-ten finishes in the 1500m event; Tommy Baker took third place with a time of 4:01.67, and Dominick Beine ran a 4:05.75 for a sixth-place finish.
The 5000m event saw two more Spires finish in the top ten. Ryan Heline took third place with a time of 14:49.30, while Daniel Pantoja finished in sixth with a time of 15:16.15 to end the day.
