Bashir-Mohammed Named KCAC Runner of the Week for Greeno/ Dirksen Performance

Wichita, Kan.- Emad Bashir-Mohammed of the University of Saint Mary was named KCAC Cross Country Men's Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Bashir-Mohammed was selected for their performances from Sept. 11-17 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

He took home third place out of a field of over 350 competitors at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite over the weekend, which was the best finish by an NAIA athlete at the event. He finished in front of runners from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and community college teams. This is the second time Bashir-Mohammed has been named the KCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week this season.

The Spires will compete in the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree at 10 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
