Bashir-Mohammed Named NAIA Runner of the Week

Kansas City, Mo.- On Wednesday, the NAIA National Office announced that Emad Bashir-Mohammed was named the NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. 

Bashir-Mohammed was selected based on his performance on September 16 at the Greeno/ Dirksen Invite. He was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. Bashir-Mohammed finished third in this weekend's meet out of over 300 runners. His time of 23:37.8 in an 8k was the fastest of any NAIA runner in the country. 

The men's and women's programs will compete in the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree at 10 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
