Men's Cross Country Finishes in Second at Nationals

Vancouver, Wash.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Cross Country team competed in the NAIA Cross County National Championship meet on Friday, resulting in the best finish in program history, taking second place with a score of 98.  

 

The first to finish for Saint Mary was Emad Bashir-Mohammed, with a time of 24:49.1 and a third-place finish overall. Dominick Beine and Ryan Heline were the next Spires to finish. Beine ran a 25:19.2, placing in the top 20, while Heline finished in twenty-fifth place with a time of 25:27.1. The final runners to earn All-American honors for Saint Mary were Chris Metz (25:27.9) and Brig Merritt (25:33.8), who finished in twenty-sixth place and thirty-fourth.
