Game One
The first inning featured great offensive production from the Spires as Sadie McWilliams hit an RBI double to score Alexis McDaniel, giving Saint Mary the early 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs matched that offensive production and then some, scoring the next five runs through three innings. The top of the sixth showed life for the Spires as Jessica Strandlund hit an RBI double to drive in McWilliams, but the deficit was too much to overcome as McPherson closed the game out to win 6-2. McWilliams went two for three at the plate with an RBI and a run scored in game one.
Game Two
Saint Mary and McPherson both showed off their defensive play throughout the majority of game two as both teams held each other scoreless throughout five innings of play. The Spires had a chance to take the lead in the top of the fifth with runners in scoring position, but could not produce any runs. The Bulldogs drove in five runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 5-0 lead. This proved to be all McPherson needed as they took game two by a score of 5-0.
