Leavenworth, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Women's Basketball team hosted the Bethel Threshers on Wednesday, resulting in an 81-57 win. The Spires now boast a record of 19-4 overall and 16-1 in the KCAC.
After returning to Ryan Sports Center, the Spires continued their winning ways. The Spires had a solid start to the game, jumping out to an early 18-point lead at the end of the first quarter. As both teams settled in, Saint Mary began to pull away, finishing the half up 46-27. Demi Aamold the Spires in scoring during the first half with 16 points.
Saint Mary maintained its dominance throughout the rest of the game. The Spires led by as much as 27 points at one point, putting on a dominant offensive performance. Heading into the fourth quarter, Saint Mary held a 22-point lead, and the Spires managed to cruise to victory with a final score of 81-57. Sims recorded her twelfth double-double of the season with ten rebounds and 21 points, leading the scoring for the Spires. Alanis Delgado, Demi Aamold, and Katelynn Ostronic also performed well on the night, scoring 15, 16, and 13 points, respectively.
