Leavenworth, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Women's Soccer team took on Evangel University on Wednesday, ending the game in a 1-1 draw. The Spires' overall record is now 4-2-4 and 4-0-3 in conference play.
After early offensive production by Saint Mary and the Valor, both teams failed to find the back of the net in the first half. Evangel got on the board first, with only twenty minutes left in the game. The Spires tried to tie things up, with Karleigh Enyart taking two shots and Jaidyn Yingling taking one, but Evangel's goalie stopped all of them. With five minutes to go, Saint Mary tied the game up with a goal by Nanako Hallier. Neither team could find the back of the net for the game-winner as the game ended in a 1- tie. Marisol Vargas recorded six total saves on the night.
