Women's Tennis Falls to Bulldogs After Taking Doubles Point

Kansas City, Mo.- The University of Saint Mary Women's Tennis program hosted the Concordia Bulldogs for a team dual on Thursday, resulting in a 5-2 loss. The Spires are now 2-4 in team duals overall this year. 

 

Doubles Matches

After dropping the first match, Tracy Llamas and Courtlyn Wolfe got a 6-3 win over their opponents, making the final match a winner-take-all for the team point. Arsys Rojas and Taimane Cajudoy won their set narrowly, beating their opponents 6-4 and securing the lone doubles point. 

 

Singles Matches

Llamas had the first and only win for Saint Mary in the singles matches. Her match went into a third tie-breaking set, where Llamas won 10-5. Wolfe and Cajudoy also went into a tie-breaking third set but were not able to come out with wins. The Spires eventually fell to the Bulldogs 5-2.

Saint Mary will begin their tour of Texas against Texas Lutheran at 3 p.m. on Monday in Seguin, Texas.
