Spires Sweep Builders for Sixth Consecutive Win
Winfield, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Women's Tennis team traveled to play Southwestern College for a team dual on Thursday, resulting in a 7-0 win. The Spires are now 9-7 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
Doubles
Tracy Llamas and Courtlyn Wolfe paired up for a 6-1 win over their Southwestern counterparts. After a loss, Arsys Rojas and Rachel Rothmeyer secured the lone team point for Saint Mary after winning by forfeit due to a vacant spot from the Builders.
Singles
Llamas continued her strong showing with a 7-6 and a 6-4 win over her opponent to make it 2-0 for the Spires. Wolfe and Shannon Fin followed Llamas with wins of their own to secure a team win for Saint Mary. The final three singles matches were all forfeited due to vacancies by Southwestern, giving the Spires a 7-0 win.
